How we collect, use, and protect your personal data — and what it means that every bike ships DDP, so you are never surprised by a bill after delivery.

Your data. Your control.

We collect only what we need to build your bike and keep you informed. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers. As we sell to European customers, we comply fully with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) — regardless of where we are based.

Who We Are

The data controller for yourbadge.bike is Scoponi Trading, based in Taichung, Taiwan. We sell fully customised bicycles directly to consumers in Europe under the YourBadge.Bike brand.

Although established in Taiwan, we sell exclusively to European customers and therefore comply fully with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) under Article 3(2), which applies to controllers offering goods to individuals in the EU regardless of where the controller is based.

Data We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to respond to your quote request or to keep you informed about YourBadge.Bike. We do not purchase or use third-party data lists.

Email address
Identity
Collected when you submit a quote request or sign up for launch notifications.
Build specification
Configuration
Frame colour, badge name, and rider height — submitted alongside your quote request.
Usage data
Analytics — consent required
Pages visited, clicks, session duration — collected via Google Ads only after you explicitly accept cookies. Not collected if you choose "Necessary only".
Consent preference
Technical
Your cookie acceptance or refusal, stored locally in your browser. Never transmitted to any server.

Legal Basis

Every processing activity we carry out rests on a specific legal basis under GDPR Article 6. We do not process your data on vague or assumed grounds.

Used for marketing emails and analytics cookies. Consent is given explicitly — by ticking the checkbox on our form, or by clicking "Accept all cookies". You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior lawful processing.
Legitimate interest
Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR
Used to process and respond to a quote request you have explicitly submitted. Our legitimate interest is to follow up on inbound commercial enquiries. We have assessed that this interest is not overridden by your rights or freedoms.

Third-Party Processors

We use a small number of specialist services to operate our business. Each is covered by a Data Processing Agreement (DPA). We do not share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or any other third party beyond those listed below.

Klaviyo Inc.
Email marketing · USA
Stores and sends marketing emails on our behalf. Your email address is transferred to Klaviyo servers under a DPA.
EU–US Data Privacy Framework ✓
Formspree
Quote form processing · USA
Forwards your quote request submissions to us by email. Your name, email, and build configuration are processed briefly through their infrastructure under a DPA. Formspree does not retain or use this data beyond delivery.
Google LLC
Advertising measurement · USA
Google Ads conversion tracking is only active if you have consented to marketing cookies. No Google tracking cookies are set before you click "Accept all cookies".

Retention

We keep your data only as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.

Email marketing list
Until unsubscribe
Retained on Klaviyo until you unsubscribe. Every email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link.
Quote request data
Up to 2 years
Retained for business correspondence purposes. After 2 years from the last contact, records are deleted.
Analytics data
Max. 14 months
Follows Google's standard analytics retention settings. Only collected with your cookie consent.

Your Rights as an EU Consumer

As a data subject under GDPR, you have the following rights. To exercise any of them, contact us at hello@yourbadge.bike. We will respond within 30 days.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority — for example the Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit (BE), the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (NL), or the Bundesdatenschutzbeauftragter (DE) — if you believe we have not handled your data correctly.

Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal. If you withdraw consent for marketing emails, we will remove you from our list within 48 hours.

Cookies

We use the minimum number of cookies required to operate the site and — with your consent — to measure which ads bring visitors to us. We do not use profiling, retargeting, or social media tracking cookies.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — for example when we add new services or when the law requires it. Material changes will be communicated by updating the date at the top of this page. We will not reduce your rights without your knowledge.
